Sex a day before IUI?

Need advice! My husband and I are doing our 4th and last IUI this month. He is going to work out of town for a few months and this is our last opportunity until he gets back in town. We have been trying for nearly 2 years. For the first time since we’ve been doing these IUI’s, I’ve gotten my peak on a weekend. I plan to call first thing in the morning and get an appointment. Our appointments for these IUI’s are typically in the afternoon around 4. That’s what works best for our schedules and for the doctor. I really want to have sex tonight since I got my peak today, but I know they like the sperm sample to be with 48 hours of buildup. My husband has always had really high/good sperm count which is the only reason I’m questioning breaking the rule. But Im still hesitant. Any opinions? Should we have sex tonight and do the IUI tomorrow afternoon? Or hold off tonight and just rely on the IUI tomorrow?
