Medroxyprogesterone? Anyone?

So I went to see an ob/gyn and he prescribed me medroxyprogesterone because I have not had a cycle in over 1 year and 1/2 after my miscarriage . I also came to find out i have ovarian cyst I am 25 years young and if anyone can let me know how well this med works when trying to conceive, I feel lost at this point because I don't know what to do i never thought trying to get pregnant would ever be this difficult.
