Could be either as heart rate doesn't determine gender in any way. I had 2 boys one with a very low heart rate and the other high.

My sons heart beat was all over the place. None of the old wives tales worked with him and baby #2 not even messing with any of it lol sometimes fun but ehh

My baby's heart rate at 12 weeks was 171 and I'm having a boy. Old wives tale was opposite for me!

at 8 weeks it was 180, slowed down over the weeks, at our 20 week yesterday it was 135. Baby is girl :)
