Pierced Nipples

So I have had my nipples pierced for about 3-4 years and I love them! Well my bf of 4 years (which was my ex when I got them pierced and got back with him 2 years ago) wants me to get rid of them so he can suck them better. Also we are ttc. But I really don’t want to, I also want to breastfeed but heard you can still keep them as long as you remove them while feeding. But it might be best if I finally got rid of them. But I’ll miss them 😩 What should I do?
