How do you know that you like someone?

Hello, I am 17 year old young’un, and I’m quite a bit late to the dating game.

I let my insecurities hold me back for quite some time (not that I got many offers anyway 💀) but I’m having difficulty with this one boy.

You see, I’m not sure I like him, but it hurts a little when he talks about other girls? I’m not sure if it’s just the fact that he’s a really nice guy, leading to liking the idea of him. Also teenage hormones amplify everything 🙄.

Do I like him then, if I’m getting (as it seems) jealous? If so, how do I get over it, because he’s obviously talking about other girls so...

Blasting music and dancing has not been the remedy it used to be 😕
