Boyfriend HELP!!

Ok so me and my boyfriend has been dating for 4 months now. And I love him I do! But I'm starting to get annoyed with him. He doesn't have a job so every time we go out I pay most of the time! I tell him to get a job but he says he didn't want to work. I have to always drive and see him etc. he still talk to his ex ,but he says they just talk as friends. I'm starting to like someone else, so I broke up with my bf. But he was like "no I need you" so I didn't break up with him. Should I just do it. Because I feel like I'm cheating by talking to someone else? Or just stick it out with him?
