fiance is a bum and contemplating leaving him

OK so he's a mental therapist struggling to get a job in a small town. I feel stupid getting involved with him. I took his extensive education and success in the past as a sign he is just a guy down on his luck. I feel foolish now.. he has been on a few interviews that I thought he would get only to be beat out by major competition. it's extremely competitive. however he only sends 2-4 applications every few months. to me he isn't giving 100%. I live with him in his house. I pay my share of the expenses. I never ask him to pay my bills or share. we go dutch alot. Only income he has is from renting 2 rooms in the house. I hate having roommates but I deal with it because he needs the money. he has been unemployed since I met him 3 years ago. I even tried filling out applications for him. he comes to me today saying his card decline after trying to buy food. he asks to use my card until he straighten the matter out with the bank. it's 2pm the bank is still open, why does he call or go there? I asked and he said he didn't feel like it. I told him I would not let him use my card. now he is upset and I don't really care. I didn't sign up to care for a lazy bum. if he wants money, go work for it.!!!! this isn't the first time his card has declined. it happened many times a year ago. this guy is not getting his life together and I am ready to leave. leading cause mof divorce is having a financial irresponsible spouse. it's not a laughing matter. I need a man not a bum. he can be pissed....maybe it will motivate him to get off his ass and put 100% into finding work.
