Does a nipple piercing affect breastfeeding

Question

I have had my nipple pierced for almost 2 years now and the day I found out I was pregnant I took it out... 
I am wondering if anyone knows how that will affect breastfeeding ? 
I did google it but google doesn’t give the answer I need.

I took mine out with my first baby (9 years ago)... it didn’t affect my ability to breastfeed but milk does come out of the holes, which makes it a tiny bit messier. 😂

the hole should close up over the next 8 or 9 months so there should be no effects.   i think you'll be ok.

I took mine out a little while before getting pregnant and my little one actually prefers to feed from that nipple than the other one!! I think it might be because over time the piercing made the nipple stand out more so it was easier for her to latch on. The only thing I've noticed really is that sometimes I get a little leakage from where the holes were on the piercing.
