Has anyone else ever been afraid to stop their birth control?

It made my life so much easier I can’t even explain. It also made my boobs grow quite a bit (which honestly I hate) but I’m thinking that they will shrink and get saggy if I stop it. I heard of people gaining weight after they stopped their birth control too so now I just take it for my periods and moods and it’s such a hassle knowing that I don’t actually use it for its purpose anymore lol

I was only on the pill for a year, & even though it made my periods 10000 times lighter and shorter, it kept me at a steady weight of 112. My BC caused me to lose my appetite so I wasn’t eating as much. I got off it after my boyfriend announced he wanted to try and start our family. I gained my weight due to getting my appetite back and lost control of how much I was eating and lack of working out in the gym. But my period remained light and short, and my boobs grew a lot, but i wasn’t on it long like a lot of people, so it probably didn’t affect me as much.

I was on it constantly for 13 years, came off of it and the only thing different is that I do have worst period Cramps now

my purpose of birth control WAS to regulate my periods and hormones per my doctor. I would be out for 2 days with my periods and they were very heavy. so there is nothing wrong with using them for that purpose

Honestly, I was nervous to quit mine. I had been on it for like 9 years, and I was afraid my moods would be terrible and my cramps would be awful. And what if I started breaking out? How would I know when AF was coming? Well, I quit a few months back my mood is somewhat better and more stable (though that could be for other reasons). My sex drive is definitely higher, my skin is the same, boobs and weight the same. My cycle seems to have regulated and while it lasts a day longer and the cramps are definitely worse, I'm glad I went off it when I did. For me it wasnt as big a deal as I thought it would be. Hopefully it isn't for you either 😁
