Confused on what to do.

im sorry this really has nothing to do with anything. i just needed advice. I work at Amazon, when i did my application i told them i had epilepsy. Now i just recently found out i was pregnant, and only my neurologist can tell me if it is safe to take my meds for the epilepsy. Now my job gave me a form for my dr to fill out, but his secretary told me my neurologist had to fill it out. But my primary dr gave me the time off until i go see my neurologist. He gave me until the 21st of December because i go to my dr December 19. This was friday. I went to the hospital friday and was there until 7am. Went to my job to turn in the form, but it was a day late. My job then emailed me 2 days later telling me since it was 1 day late they cant abide by my drs orders and i have to return to work or im fired. Is this unfair? is this legal?
