My birth story ❤️

🌸🌷🌺

This will probably be a long post. My November 27 baby came a week early. Born November 20th at 9:40 pm. It all started 4 days before I went to labor, I had a membrane sweep. I thought it didn’t do anything, so I YouTubed ways to induce labor naturally. I already had my induction date scheduled and I really wanted to go on my own. I did this “baby dance” video, walked a lot, and bounced on a ball. Until the 3rd day of the sweep I started loosing huge chunks of my plug. Sunday night I started having my bloody show and some on Monday too. I had been feeling cramps Sunday night and I just brushed them off because they always faded away. I woke up Monday with the same cramps, only thing different was that they started spacing out, and I could actually tell when they stopped and started. Again didn’t think much because they weren’t really painful. I started timing them just to make sure. They were all over the place at first and eventually started to get close 3-5 min apart. I decided to go to the hospital around 1, I was still in denial it was real labor because I could tolerate the cramps. Turns out they were real contractions I was 4cm dilated and my sac was bulging out. Well those contractions got INTENSE after they broke my water, I thought I was going to be able to go natural. HELL NO! I ended up getting the epidural. Within two hours I went from a 4, to an 8, then literally like less than 10 min after they checked me at an 8 I felt like something was coming out lol I called my nurse and I was at a 10! She told me I had to wait another 10 min because the doctor wasn’t there at the moment!! I tried my best to hold the urge to push, when the doctor came he said he could already see her! She was out in two pushes!! Weighing 6 lb 15 oz , 19 inches long. My little Melanie ❤️ can you tell we were excited for a little girl? All pink 😂
