Baby Boy is finally here!

Tia

My due date was the 25th, but little man decided to show up on the 20th. I went in after suspecting my waters had broken. After being hooked up and monitored for a while, I was told my test results were “inconclusive” so they could not confirm if my waters were broken or not. I was told to wait a few hours more and the dr would recheck me later while they continued to monitor the baby. A couple hours went by before it was determined that I had actually ruptured, and after being watched they noticed baby was having difficulties during contractions (heart rate kept dropping). After being given penicillin and an oxygen mask (and having a full on panic attack since I never experienced anything like that with my other delivery), the dr comes in and tells me we need to have a c-section. Talk about surprises, just 30 minutes ago we were still unsure if my water had broken!

Anyway...a few minutes later I was in the OR. When they pulled him out his cord was triple wrapped around his neck. Thankfully, he was alright. Once I got to hear my little one cry for the first time, nothing else even mattered. He makes my heart so happy!!
