Mucous plug??

I think I lost part of my mucous plug today. It was like a small glob of snot kinda, that’s the best way I know how to put it. It wasn’t very big either. I’m 27 weeks and 3 days, is this common for where I’m at? Should I be worried at all? I hear people say that it can come out but it will just grow back but I have to ask as a first time mom I saw it and got nervous. I didn’t get a picture of it as I got freaked out and just threw the toilet paper and flushed it so I’m not sure how else to describe it. It seemed like it was but I’m not sure and wanted to ask a second opinion
