Baby clothes washing routine?

Question

Do you use a specific soap for baby clothes? Do I️ start an empty cycle to rinse out the machine and then wash all my baby’s clothes?
How early or late did you start washing things? I’m currently 32 weeks and I’m wondering if I️ should start this now or am I️ to early? 
FTM so I’m a little lost here.. thanks! 😅

I started at 33 weeks, and I use the All brand i think it is. (Not home so can’t check) it’s a lot cheaper than dreft, and came in a bigger bottle! I didn’t do an empty load, but I saw someone else suggest doing it if you just washed a really soiled load and that sounds like a good idea if it applies. Also I just started by washing newborn and 0-3 month clothes, not all the clothes I have. In case I need to exchange sizes because of my LO growing faster

Yes thats what I do. I start a rinse cycle I put  clorox with hot water. And I use dreft for babies laundry.

We're using Purex baby, but that's just a personal preference. I'm 22 weeks and I'm dying to start washing things, but I feel like its way too early lol

I started right after my shower at 29 weeks and just washed them as I wash our clothes with Tide free and clear. I’m allergic to fragrance and Dreft is so strong I can’t imagine I wouldn’t be allergic to it...I’m not sure why it’s pushed so much for babies. I think it’s more marketing than anything.

we use babyganics. I would wash stuff as soon as you have storage to put them away! we're ordering baby's dresser next week then I will get to washing! I've already done his blankets and swaddles because we have a 5 drawer storage cube unit for those!

I️ was 31 weeks when I️ started! You can never be too early 🙂 I️, of course waited until after my shower. I️ used the honest brand which is not expensive for the amount of loads it can wash. Have fun!

You can use any free or clear detergent. Doesn’t have to say it’s for baby on it.

I️ think starting now would be a great idea. I️ used dreft but there’s another that’s less expensive. You don’t have to start an empty cycle before you wash the baby’s clothes but it may be a good idea if you’ve recently washed really soiled clothes!
