Thoughts on massage?

I have a massage scheduled for tomorrow, I am 6 weeks pregnant and massage therapist said she was very comfortable and certified. But someone mentioned to me it was not safe. And now I've read all online and am conflicted?! Would you ladies get one, or wait? Yes I'd ask my doctor but it's a weekend! Thank you :)

My doctor said massages are fine. They can’t massage a MC.

I’m a therapist and it’s safe and rewarding for you!! Your therapist should know areas to avoid completely and areas to apply gentle pressure !! Enjoy!!

My massage place is honestly the best and i totally trust them and they specifically told me they will not see people during the first trimester. If i remember correctly, my massage guy said he could get in a lot of trouble for knowingly doing it. I would just wait until the 2nd trimester to be safe!

I would probably speak to your doctor first and see if they recommend it. Over here in Aus, it is avoided until the 2nd trimester.

My midwife told me to avoid massage until the first 12 weeks are over.

Had a massage last Wednesday, @ 5 W3D, they wouldn't let me do one laying on my stomach so they did just a back massage with me sitting inn the chair.

I would wait. Postpone it until you’re in your 2nd trimester. Not worth the risk and most places won’t even do them, if you’re in your first trimester.

I would call ahead and ask them because some places won’t do pregnancy massages in the first trimester. The place where I go doesn’t so I have to wait 😢
