What is everyone's thoughts on this? :

I kinda took offense to it. My baby is 10 weeks and finally have a bedtime pattern. Every hour or so my boobs are super engorged and I have to wake up sometimes in the middle of the night to pump ( and before bed) because my baby is still sleeping.... I have a freezer stage (not because I want it) but because my baby is sleeping and if I don't do anything I'll be engorged

You can't win. If you formula feed, pump, or breast feed someone will find a reason to judge you. Feed the baby. Who fricken cares if it is from a can or your cans? A fed baby is better than a starving baby.

Why on earth would you not want extra stash of milk?

I find this dumb, i think that having a storage of breast milk in the freezer is amazing, i feed my baby on the breast all day long and i pump when i need to throughout the day, i can feed my baby whenever i want on my breast but to be able to still provide him the same benefits for when im not there its whats best for him!

My baby is 6 weeks old and I have 200oz frozen in the freezer. She eats plenty and gains weight and if I’ve got extra I can save Incase if emergency then I’m gonna do it 🤷🏻‍♀️ 
I have anywhere from 3-12oz extra a day to freeze and that’s just from what I catch in my haaka while freezing and if she sleeps longer than 2-3 hours and I have to pump for relief. I love my stash 💪🏻

Don't we moms have enough to deal with! It would be great if we could all afford 6 months to a year to not work and breast feed- but that is not normally the case!
I do wish more moms would post pictures of smaller stashes though. First time mom and first experience ever with nursing and pumping and it took a long time for me to realize I wasn't doing anything wrong and not everyone has a huge stash in the freezer. All I saw were pics of massive stashes of frozen milk while I struggled to have even an ounce or so extra.

Nothing wrong with having a freezer stash, but if you're needing to pump every hour to relieve engorgement you may be suffering from oversupply.

I have about 32oz in the freezer. And I woulda had more but I had to pitch a few oz in the beginning when I tested it and realized I need to scald it before freezing it to prevent the yucky metallic taste from high level of lipase. So unfortunately it’s a longer process for me. However it’s that or pitch it. I pump only 1x a day early in AM when she gets a bottle from Dad. I get about 6-8oz then cause she hadn’t eaten over the night. So that gives me 4oz fresh to use for the bottle the next morning and whatever is left will build up to be frozen. Also my fresh milk only stays good for 2-3 days max so I have to constantly rotate supply. So when I start getting too much fresh in fridge I start the scalding/freezing process. 🤷🏻‍♀️ it’s like a job lol. 
I think that image means first and foremost give baby milk right off the boob when possible. Fresh on tap is best 😂 fresh expressed milk is 2nd best. And then 3rd frozen. Especially for me. Scalding it and THEN freezing it too makes it lose some nutritional value. So I always offer boob first unless of course I’m not able to due to being out of the house or something then it’s nice to have excess to have someone give bottle. Otherwise I dunno what you would do. Be stuck in the house 24/7 I guess?? 😳

Is this supposed to mean that moms should only feed right from the breast? If so, it's pretty stupid. Pumped and frozen breast milk is just as good as milk from the breast because it's the same thing!
