Okay ladies I have a question!

So me and my fiancé are VERY careful when it comes to sex. We use Trojan condoms with spermicidal lubricant, and on top of that we check the condom for breaks immediately after sex, and we don’t have sex in my fertile window. We do this because we are 20 and 22 and we don’t want kids yet. I have my well woman exam in a few weeks, and I plan on getting a 5 year IUD very soon so that we don’t have to worry about birth control when we get married next December

I was telling some of my female coworkers (two of which have babies under 6 months, one who is gay) about this and they all three said I’m “too extra” and I should not be so uptight about it. I told them I’ve only had one pregnancy scare in the last year, and it’s because I’m so careful and they all called me crazy and said I’m being too careful

So my question is this: is there such a thing as TOO careful? And are you ladies that careful about your birth control methods?
