Azoospermia

So I’ve posted on before but need some other opinions/thoughts. So my husband has azoospermia and very small testicles. He has low t normal hormones otherwise. He is on clomid and HCG. Today we had a consult. So i asked the dr what are the chances we get sperm. I tend to be a Debbi downer in stressful situations, i am a nurse so maybe i know to much idk. He did not seem hopeful. Very little information was given. He just said it’s minimal but at least we can say we exhausted all options. So In two weeks we will get his hormones retested to see if his testosterone level went up. I guess my question is.. when do we stop. This is week 3 if HCG and his first month of clomid. Anyone have similar experience where your outcome looks bleak? Did you discuss donor sperm?
