Baby eyes. His left eye sometimes drag. When is it a serious thing? Shoud we go see an eye doctor?

I went to an eye doctor for the same reason when my daughter was 2 months old. 
The eye doctor said it’s not uncommon when they’re newborn but if it persists longer than 6 months, it needs to be checked and monitored. Early intervention is key. My daughters eyes stopped doing it around 3 months so we never went to the follow up at 6 months. 
If I were you, I would just schedule an appointment already since baby is already 5 months.

My son's eyes did this from the time he was born.  When he was 2 we went to a pediatric optician for the first time and we tried patching for a while.  Then when he was 3 I noticed both eyes were crossing in and it was worse than before. The Doctor said the muscles on the inside corners of his eyes were too tight and so when he was tired they crossed in because he didn't have the strength to keep them straight.  So he needed surgery to loosen the muscles and fix the crossing.  He had it done last year in December and is now doing better.  One eye is totally better and the other eye has been crossing but we are going back soon to see what needs to be done to fix it.  Sorry for the long reply just letting you know if it is something it is easily fixed.

Oh yeah I can see it. It’s not uncommon for little babies though- their eye muscles are still developing. Just ask Your dr at the next check up I’m sure it’s way too early to worry yet.
