Places to visit in CO?

Question

Sooooo, we have decided to go visit good old Colorado in March 2018 for our 1 year. Problem is we are not sure which city would be better to visit/stay in for 5 days. Planning on hotel and flying there and back. Also what is deemed acceptable to bring back to my home state? Am I able to bring back unused pipes/rigs? Am I able to bring back unopened bags of cbd edibles sense it is 100% legal, I’m just not sure if it’s okay. Looking for great places to see and amazing views! Also drop names of dispensaries so we can stop in and visit them!? Any places to stay away from? Any good places with amazing views??

I’m not sure about the unused rigs because technically they might consider it “paraphernalia”. Look up day hikes near Denver, it’s a website and they have some really awesome hikes on there. As far as dispensaries, I would check out verde. They have really good stuff. I hope you have an awesome time, I love this city! 👍

If your looking for hiking mountain areas Colorado Springs is good but my favorite is Estes Park. I lived just outside of Denver for most of my life so downtown Denver is just ok to me. There is some cool stores and restaurants I would stay away from the 16th street mall area though. If you want hiking in the Denver area there is look out mountain, golden and red rocks ( watch for rattle snakes). If u are going in winter and want to go snowboarding/ ski I like  breckenridge or copper mountain and i usually stay in Frisco. I'm not sure about taking pot home I don't think that it's legal. I now live in Florida were it's not legal. While you are there I think you can carry up to an ounce. Hope that helps. Have fun!

Garden of the Gods is a definite must visit. Be careful in downtown Denver because our stoned asses parked in an area that we shouldn't have and our car got towed! We thought our car was stolen! We were in the dispensary for seriously 10 minutes and those motherfuckers towed our car. They must have been watching us. But yes, Garden of the Gods, check out Cave of the Winds, Estes Park is awesome. We also went to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.

Rocky Mountain National Park (you can enter right near Estes Park) is a beautiful place with lots to do!! There’s several beautiful drives, waterfalls, hikes, etc. and while you’re in Estes Park you can see the Stanley Hotel. The ghost tours are honestly super lame and cheesy but it might be cool to actually stay the night there. I’ve never done that. And the rest of Estes Park itself is such a fun place! I would totally recommend spending a day up in the mountains there. Walk around Estes, visit all the little shops, but some taffy, have some Rocky Mountain Oysters at Wapiti Grill ;) There’s also like family attractions in Estes with bumper boats, go karts. There’s a place called Trout Haven if you want to go “fishing” (it’s literally just overstocked so you WILL catch a fish.) And there’s “Tiny Town Cottages” right along the river you can stay in if you choose not to stay in the Stanley. My fiancé and I have stayed there before and it was so perfect. Fireplace, an outdoor grill, tiny kitchen fully stocked with dishes, a bed, and a bathroom. It’s perfect for a couple.
