Postpartum Sex

Since having our little girl 7 months ago, my husband’s and my sex life has been pretty non-existent. We’re trying to change that, but having sex HURTS!! I’m not sure if it’s because its been so long, or because of the fact that I tore and was sewn up during labor. We’ve had sex 3 times in 7 months... the first 2 we were able to finish but I wouldn’t necessarily say it was enjoyable for either of us. Last night it hurt too bad to even finish. Has this happened to anyone? Is it normal? Any suggestions? We really want to get our sex life back on track but it’s almost impossible when it hurts this bad! Help!
