Coffee during pregnancy?

Hey everyone! So I just would like everyone's opinion. I just found out I was pregnant yesterday, well I work 12 hour shifts and I always drink a large iced coffee from McDonald's before work. Some people say coffee is bad bc of the caffeine, and I've heard from others that they've drank the same amount through their pregnancy as they always have and been fine. So I'm just wondering everyone's opinion on how much I should or shouldn't drink. Thanks!

You're allowed to have up to 200mg of caffeine per day 😉

You could look up the nutrition information for it, they say 200mg of caffeine is the max recommended for caffeine. I drink my regular one mug a day.

My doctor said one cup a day is fine, i drink about 4-5 per week and have had no problems, currently almost 19 weeks 🙂

I stick to one cup of drip coffee, 1 espresso or 1 caffeinated hot tea. Before pregnancy I drank WAY more but why risk it?

I didn’t drink caffeine until the 2nd trimester, then I’d drink an occasional cup maybe a couple times a week. My doctor told me it could cause miscarriage, I know a lot of people drink it and are fine though. Maybe just drink a small instead of a large?

My doctor had told me I could have one cup a day no issue. Now I️ am 35 weeks and they detected a heart arrhythmia yesterday and she said caffeine can cause it and now I’m not allowed any. In my opinion most of the time there is no issue but if I️ would have known there was a way to prevent this I️ would not have drank coffee from the start.

I drink lattes now small ones so I can have two during the day if I need to. I was told since I was a regular coffee drinker before getting pregnant I didn't have to stop but I should be more mindful of how much caffeine I'm drinking.

I stuck to tea until about week 10 only because I wasn't feeling coffee with my morning sickness. Now I'm back to 1-2 cups a day and the baby's healthy and doing well; I do make it half-caf though to play it safe because full strength makes me feel a bit jittery.
