What would you do...

If your boyfriend smelled like perfume. Like it could be cologne I guess but you've never smelled this kind of cologne on him before.

My boyfriend is asleep on the couch with our son while I get a shower and I bend down to kiss his cheek and he smells like perfume maybe?? He wakes up and I say in a jokingly manner because I didn't want to jump to conclusions "you smell like perfume why do you smell like perfume" and he doesn't answer he just goes back to sleep. Idk what to think. I don't wanna go back out there and sniff him again to reconfirm that it is in fact perfume but I don't want to assume that it is and him get mad.
