Two week old baby eating too much?

My son is 2 weeks and 4 days old. He has been so fussy the past few days.. he has been crying way more than usual and has been showing me constant signs of hunger. He has been eating 4 oz bottles every 1-2 hours. Which is an incredible amount! I think he is eating way too much but my husband says to feed him when he is hungry, and not be concerned about how much he is eating. Has anyone dealt with this before? I was told that it could be my son going through a growth spurt. It’s very upsetting to see my son cry and I have no idea what he needs. Ill change him, feed him 4 oz and hold him.. and he will cry and cry like he is in pain. I’ve tried putting gas drops in his bottles while feeding him because I thought he was having painful gases , but he is still crying way more than normal.please help if you have any suggestions or advice 😏 anything will be considered
