HP chrome book

Really random question but does anyone have an HP chrome book? Do you know if I can download fire fox? I'm going back to school and the only program I can use has to be on the fire fox browser. As far as I can tell I can't and my husband surprised me with this as an early Christmas present so I can finally finish my degree. I'm really upset that I have to tell him I can't use it for that :(
