Vaginal tear? Help please

Ok, so here's a question for anyone with a simile experience or any nurses. Me and my boyfriend have had sex for months and never had problems, but like three months ago I began to notice a painful spot on the inside right side of my vagina. And I could still have sex but it was uncomfortable. We went two weeks without sex and it hurts worse now than it did before. How long does it take for something like this to heal. It has never bled. But it stings during sex. I know that vaginas technically have to heal themselves, but is there any home remedy or vitamins I could take to speed up healing time?
