Mother in law! Help!

So I have been having a hard time with my boyfriends mother. She’s Honduran and she’s the type of old school parent. She’s the type of person you can’t really joke around with. In the past we had some problems , she called me out of my name because she felt that me and my family changed her son towards her. Which meant he was all about me and barely hanged around her. Honestly I never did anything to ever change that. I have a lot of respect! She just doesn’t like me and she’s been treating me kinda nice but at the same time She gives off that vibe where you honestly don’t know how she feels about you. She loves to throw some low shady things but I stay quiet and honestly it does affect me. I talk to my bf and we just argue because he’s so defensive about his mother and I completely understand but if shes wrong, then shes wrong .. who else has this problem 😭😭😭
