sleep issues
So everyone around me that recently had babies brags about how their babies sleep 6 to 7 hour stretches. We have had sleep issues since like week 2 when the after birth exhaustion faded. my girl has reflux and we struggled with colic in the beginning but the colic went away with many changes we made for her (probiotics, switching from breast to sensitive formula, zantac, eating in smaller doses more often, time). So thankful she doesn't scream for hours anymore, but our current thing is it takes hours to get her to stay asleep on a sids safe surface and not a human ( i stay up all night if she stays on me because we are scared to drop her, crush her, etc). at first the doc told me the reflux makes it uncomfortable to lay flat on her back, and now they are telling me part of it is probably her just wanting to cuddle and I need to sleep train her. I hear so many different opinions on self soothe and sleep train vs. too young to self soothe and form habits. it's so hard as a first time mom with a tough baby to hear so many different opinions and try to turn down the noise and go with my mom gut. not really sure the point in my post, as I hardly ever post on here, but maybe just needed to vent and know others have similar struggles.
