No middle name?

So my husband doesn’t have a middle name. Neither does his sister but his oldest brother does. I’ve always thought this was strange and his moms explanation is they just don’t.Our first born has a middle name that he goes by. I’m due in February and we are at war weather our new baby will have a middle name or not. I think he should have one, & the hubs is dead set on no middle name. 🤨 so just needing some feedback. Do you guys think it’s odd to not have a middle name?? What are some arguments towards giving the baby a middle name?? Thanks 🙏 girls!

I think it's weird but it's common With  Hispanic people. In my opinion, YOU are the one carrying the baby for 40 weeks, you have given up your body to create such a precious lil gift, you should be able to decide if he has a middle name or not

My fil doesn’t have a middle name either, but he is a JR. He has two brothers that have middle names, which just so happen to be his fathers first name, and his name-which is Lloyd. So there is Lloyd Sr., Michael Lloyd, William Lloyd, and then Lloyd jr (fil). I never realized how weird my in laws were until now 😂

If they don't like their first name, they can always use their middle name! My daughter goes by her middle name socially, which is fine by me.

I have 3 older brothers they each have middle names  I don’t I always asked why I didn’t get one my moms explanation was my name was too long didn’t need so guess what now I have 3 girls no middle name for none of them I realized if I never needed neither do they for me it’s just more info to fill out on paperwork really

I think the idea of a middle name is that u equally love the names or the names together and it sounds good.
Some people are different and don’t have one, but they probably have a very nice first name .
If u like the idea of two names, do it!!! It’s both of your babies but this is a lifetime decision and if he can’t meet u in between then 🤷🏽‍♀️

So my aunt is one of seven kids and she is the only one without a middle name. When my mom was pregnant with me, she wasn’t going to give me a middle name. Apparently she(my aunt) had a big complex about being the only child not to have a middle name and told my mom about it, so my mom ended up giving me her middle name.

No one in my family have a middle name, nor will my son. My in laws have a middle name, but they never use them. They actually gets angry if it’s even mentioned.

I have a middle name and my brother has a middle initial. But that’s because my dad hated the name my mom wanted for my brother lol so they compromised!
Maybe try just an initial?

My husbands name is Ty. Just Ty. Lol so that can’t be the case with him. But I think the baby should have one but I also can’t think of a middle name that I just love. We are going with Koda, so I feel like it’s to short to not have a name to go with it! Uhg. Decisions decisions...
