How do I know if she's sleeping too much?

My baby girl is 5 days old, and sleeps all the time. She wakes for feed every 3 hours or so but sometimes she doesn't wake on her own and we have to wake her, which takes a bit of effort. Is this normal for her age?

Same exact thing happening to me. The pediatrician said it’s very normal for them to sleep like crazy. I️ swear he’d starve if I didn’t wake him up to eat lol. My son is a little over a week old

Normal! Hospitals put you on a 3 hour schedule because they need to for insurance. If anything happens to a baby they can say we made them wake their baby fir a feed every 3 hours. At home if baby sleeps 5 hours count your blessings lol

They wake up around 2 weeks.  Enjoy it now lol!

My guy is also five days old. He pretty much wakes up but I also change his diaper before feeding time so he wakes up.
