Moving past an anti-Semitic comment
I was at a work holiday party last night, and my supervisor's spouse made a comment about how someone was "a Jew" because of their budgeting. This person did not know my husband and I are Jewish. They then said sorry if anyone is Jewish here, I shouldn't have said that, but he is "a Jew." In both cases using the term only as a derogatory term. Nobody said anything about how inappropriate his comment was, including us. Others in the group, my supervisor include, know we are Jewish.
My husband and I were both really upset and left shortly after, but now I don't know how to move past the comment and get ready to see everyone at work again and committee to work together.
Any advice on moving past shitty comments by people you need to continue to work with?
