What is dating in your own definition?

Is dating where you call each other bf/gf? 
Is dating just a phase where new hang out and then go into a relationship when you call each other bf/gf?

being in a relationship gets the bf/gf title and dating i would say is going on dates and talking but not yet exclusive. does that make sense?

talking is when you're just getting to know eachother. Hanging out, going on dates here and then.                                                                  Dating is making things official, and being bf/gf.

Talking is getting to know each other. Dating is going on dates with them and depending on you it could be still going on dates with others as well. A relationship is exclusively seeing one another and giving it the title of girlfriend/boyfriend. At least to me.

I think “talking” is where you’re just talking a lot and getting more comfortable with each other, and scoping out your communication to see if you think your connection will work. Dating is when you actively pursue one another and go out and get to know each other deeper.

To me dating is dating the initial getting to know each other and even seeing multiple people. Being in a relationship comes with the bf/gf title.
