When did you tell family?

I have just found out that I’m pregnant and will be 6 weeks at Christmas time. Is it too soon to tell our parents then? How many weeks were you when you started telling family members?

We told at six weeks because we were too excited. Some tell you to wait because of the risk of miscarriage, but we knew if that did happen we wanted our family to help support us. But, I'm currently 15 weeks and no problems. :)

Yay looks like we will have some news to share on Christmas Day then!! Lots of stuff I’ve read says to wait, but I agree, if I have a miscarriage, they are the people I’m going to want for support! Thanks guys 👍

Honestly I don’t see a problem with telling your parents once you find out you’re pregnant. It just depends on you. I mean something could always happen no mater how far along you are. It could be a big help to have parents support early on! It’s all up to you.

girl its when you feel is right! iam 18 weeks and have only told my mil, mom n dad and nephew but its really up to you there is never a 'right' time

I tell a couple of coworkers upon me finding out for safety reasons and for support at work, I’m a nurse and we have had assaults and threats on our unit by patients/family members so we don’t take chances when it comes to safety. Home life we tell immediate family first for support system then the rest of the world after the first trimester.
