Induction tomorrow! How long to expect?

Well after waiting an extra week (41w tomorrow) for my little one to make her appearance on her own with no luck, my doctor has scheduled me for induction tomorrow morning. I’m a little nervous but mostly just anxious for this next phase to begin! STMs, if you’ve been induced before, how long did your labor take? How was the pain? I’m bracing for the worst (24+ hours) but hoping we meet our daughter sooner!
Also, as a side note: Tomorrow marks one year since we miscarried, so it would be so special if we delivered our rainbow baby on that date. 🌈👶💖

My mom was induced with both of us with pitocin and they broke her water and she delivered naturally within 4 hours each time! She was dialated to a 4 before being induced both times.  I️ am currently waiting for my first cervix check at 39+2 and hoping I’m dialated enough for induction thurs otherwise I️ have to have a repeat c section

I was induced both times using Pitocin.  First time it took abt 10.5 hours, second time 14.5 hours.  The first time my water broke on its own at 38 weeks but contractions never started.  The second time I was induced at 39 week for medical reasons and I'm convinced the second one could have progressed faster if my water had been broken earlier but the on call OB was slammed that evening.  Also, I had an epidural both times, the first time was 2 hours in and second time was 8 hours in.  All in all both experiences went pretty smoothly.  Try not to stress, you will be holding your baby so soon!!

FTM but I’ve seen it all across the board. Do not google this question lol. Most people only share their bad experience.... I had a friend who was induced and it took like 3 days. But since being pregnant I’ve kept my eyes out for induction stories and see people who say just a few hours! Or very few pushes! Some people have great experiences. I have an induction scheduled for 12/20 unless she comes earlier (not counting on it) and I totally know your anxiety. Try to get some rest tonight!

I have had inductions personally and a LOT of them that range from 12 hours to 3 hours but it really depends on how they  are going about it and how your body responds and how easily you can stay relaxed through the pain
