Should I get a new OB?

So I found out I was pregnant In June, but sadly I miscarried in August. It was a horrible experience and my doctor was helpful but I also went into it having no idea what to expect and was traumatized when it actually happened.

I am now currently pregnant again. The weird thing is, I had my period November 26th-December 2nd. So given that, I am only a little over a week along.

When I posted to the community to ask for advice you wonderful ladies told me to contact my OB asap. Well I called and explained to them that I had miscarried previously and was unsure of what precautions to take, etc. The lady simply said, I can't schedule you for an appointment until your 8/9weeks along.

That was it.

I know nothing can really be done, or seen until about 8 weeks along. They didn't see me the first time until I was 8weeks along either. But I thought they would tell me at least a little more info!

This is my first pregnancy- aside from the miscarriage- and I have no clue what I should be doing. I've explained it and they just tell me they can't see me until then.

Should I be looking for a new OB? Or is this completely normal?
