My uterus is swollen??

During my yearly checkup a week ago, my OB had two fingers inserted and pushed down on my stomach. She asked if I was supposed to start soon because my uterus felt swollen. I was supposed to start the next day. Period is super irregular so I never get it on time, but it’s now 6 days late. What could she have been feeling?

I never take tests when I’m late because I’m never pregnant. But now I’m wondering why she would think I was about to start? My nipples are a little sensitive but otherwise no early pregnancy signs (I never have sensitivity before my period)

Anyone had experience with this or in the medical field?
