Boyfriend is considering joining

My boyfriend and I have been together for about 10 months. We’re both 18. He’s been considering the military since he doesn’t know what he wants to do for a job.

I’m terrified. I can barely handle not seeing him for two days, how can I handle boot camp and deployments? I’m scared of losing him. I’m scared of the possibility of him cheating on me. I have horrible anxiety with planes and I know if I marry him I’d go with him wherever he’s deployed and that means flying. Ever since he’s mentioned it , I’ve been on edge in my mind. I want him to be happy but the possibility of him putting himself in danger terrifies me.

Can I have experiences as a military spouse/girlfriend, what to expect if he does join, etc?

Edit: he also has had some depression and self harm issues. I’ve heard the military accepts those who have these issues now? Is that true as well?
