could anyone explain to me the income tax changes for 2018

Is having healthcare still required I'm really confused and Google is seriously not helping I mean is having healthcare even worth it because I have been told that it doesn't make a difference in really confused and my parents literally have no idea what they are doing with taxes and it's going to be my second time doing them last time my parents insisted to go with me and i seriously understood nothing I really need help please I have the moneu to get insurance and i am ready to get it i just want to make sure its the right move and i don't waste any money because I'm also trying to move out
