What should you raise your kids thinking?

Should you have them think Santa is a real person, should you tell them a story about him but not say he’s real specifically? Does it matter? Same with like Easter bunny and the tooth fairy?  Just wondering !

I will tell my children from the beginning that Santa, tooth fairy, whatever are just fun myths. I don’t find it necessary for them to believe in those things.

My parents told me all those characters were real. I eventually found out at school that it was a lie 😂 but it was fun while it lasted.

Ughhhhhh I struggle with this so much. I was CONPLETELY heart broken when I found out they aren’t real. I was so mad and so incredibly sad. I was upset my parents and EVERYONE would lie. On the other hand i LOVED believing so much. There was so much excitement but I do remember questioning why we would even be told they were real and then I questioned a lot after that. I don’t know what the right answer is. I think maybe hinting they are real but then when I tell them (and hopefully I get to tell them) find some great way to keep t positive and have an EXCELLENT reason. I say go on Pinterest and see what’s out there to help you make your decision 😂🤣. Sounds dumb but Pinterest has great parenting articles and tidbits for stuff like this

I didn't end up betrayed, hurt, of felt lied to. 
I loved it! and still feel they are real and will keep the spirit alive when my son is born.

The magic of Christmas ended when I found out santa wasn't real lol even my parents said it. The holidays havent been the same haha no more excitement for them

I think the real question is, does it hurt children to let their imaginations wander and let them believe in things like Santa Claus? I personally dont think so.

In my mom’s country, they have baby Jesus instead of Santa who brings gifts. That’s probably what I would teach my kids.

We play like it's fun and imaginary. We discuss and research the history of the mythology of Santa and Krampus. I don't lie to my children..

I believed in Santa Claus, and I learned from school that he doesn't exist. I didn't feel betrayed or hearthbroken. It was so cool to believe in Santa Claus. In fact with or without Santa Claus, presents were still waiting for me😂😂. So as long as I had my presents I didn't really care😂😂.
