When did your children start using a fork and spoon to eat?

My LO ate with her fingers until she turned 2. She could never get much on her fork and so she’d get frustrated and so I said screw it- she’ll use one when she’s ready. One day she just started asking for a fork with her food 🤷🏻‍♀️ Now she’s pretty skilled with both a spoon and fork at 2.5 👍🏼

My daughter is 8 months and I've just started letting her use plates and a spoon. She needs help with the spoon but I think she's catching on. I don't think it's ever to early to let them try it!

Since she’s been eating solids. Around 4 months old, I’d put her in her high chair with a spoon when we sat down to eat. She was quick to learn how to use it well. Now she’s 8 months and she’s still messy and uses her hands, but she’s pretty good about at least trying to use her fork or spoon.

I introduced them between 6-9 months old and he could use them atleast somewhat by a year.
