Should equal internet access be considered a human right?

So the Internet & the role that it plays in society has been discussed a lot recently due to the Trump administrations stand on net neutrality. 
Rather you’re for or against net neutrality, an important thing to consider is if equal Internet access should be considered a human right. 
P.S. for those that oppose ruling against net neutrality laws you can make your voice heard by texting “resist” to 504-09.

The neighborhood I grew up in and my parents still live in is considered very poverty riddled and recently the mayor installed free WiFi throughout the entire neighborhood. There are huge routers on the telephone poles. I think it’s a great thing and it’ll help students of all ages complete their homework with as much access to the internet as more affluent students have. No one should be denied information because they can’t afford it.

In our society, yes. I understand that WiFi doesn’t fall very high on Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs, but in this day and age I’d argue it’s a necessary utility in the sense that running water and electricity are necessary for us to be functional members of society.

The internet is becoming more and more necessary as time goes on. It’s used starting in elementary school, to search for jobs, to get information about practically everything, etc. everyone should have the right to internet access. 
I do believe that public libraries provide internet access though.

I think calling it a human right is a bit much. Is it useful? Yes. Should it be free? I think so. Is it a right? No. Someone has to pay for it, set up the towers and satellites, maintain it, so if they start making us pay for it so be it. I'll be pissed, but I've grown up enough to realize anything great won't always be free, especially if it costs someone else something to create or distribute.

When I was younger like a little thing no it wasn’t, but by highschool I had classes that REQUIRED internet access which we could not afford at the time. So I missed quite a few assignments purely because of lack of money. So nowadays yes I do consider that something everyone should be afforded. With things so heavily relying on access to internet it’s silly to say it’s unnecessary.
