travelling with a newborn? advise? ?

so hiya ladies my familly live up north and i am wanting to know how soon after birth is it safe to travell (4hrs) on a train to see them after birth because  i really want my mum to see him when hes small ??

A train is a good method of travel for a newborn as you can hold and feed them as you need to. In the very early days they shouldn’t be in a car seat for for than 30 minutes but that won’t be an issue on a train. It’s more about when you feel up for it.

I was told as long as they’re not in the car seat for over 90 minuites it should be fine. Take them in the carry cot and make sure they’re comfortable.

Whenever your downstairs area is comfortable enough to sit for 4hours on a bumpy journey 👍

Shouldn't be a problem. They will probably sleep most of the journey because of the rocking motion. Just pack loads of everything you could possibly need! And take a changing mat as I doubt they have baby changing tables in train toilets.
