35 weeks-Braxton Hicks?

I am 35 weeks today. I have had menstrual type cramping all week and some cramps that extend to my back. Would this be considered Braxton Hicks? My coworker said it felt like tightening in the abdomen for her but mine feel like period cramps to me. I have also been hot flashing all week terribly! My boss was talking to me and I could just feel my face turn red and I was sweating sooo bad! It was embarrassing! Is this normal for third trimester?

Everyone experiences the contractions differently, also they can change depending on the pregnancy. First pregnancy had the tight belly contractions, second pregnancy they are more painful. It all depends on where baby is, and how your body is reacting to hormones. I would recommend getting a contractions counter app for you phone. Most are free. Just to get an idea of how frequent they are. If your having any kind of pattern to them, it’s a good idea to let your doctor/ midwife know. Also one thing that’s been helping me deal with these is the thought that every contraction you have now is one less you need to have during labor. Lots of Braxton Hicks can be a sign of a shorter labor. Good luck!

35 weeks tomorrow and definetly frequent braxton hicks. For me they feel like the tummy getting tight but I'm so sick of them. I have them since 32 weeks. Not painful, most of them, but definetly uncomfortable. My doctor is not happy about them at all.. So they drive me crazy and make me wish January could come faster

The period like cramps are definitely the practice contractions! I’ve been having them since 32 weeks. Some days more than others 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m not sure if it’s normal being my first but I’m fixing to be 35 weeks in a few days and I’ve had hot flashes and severe cramping like a period too.
