Wolf mix dogs?

Question

Anyone have any experience with these dogs? We are considering adopting 1 of 3 mixes. They are: 
1) husky/Arctic wolf mix
2) Malamute/ Timberwolf mix
3) Shepherd/ Timberwolf mix
Can anyone give advice on these kinds of dogs? I've done a lot of research but I'd like to hear some personal stories because we have children and I've heard they can be a little unpredictable. Thank you!

if they are actually cross bred. ( beware people are breeding wold looking mutts and passing them off due to the " in thing " of having one .)  it is crossed with a wild animal that can still opporate on it's natural social and mental needs, not breed that have been developed for centuries to work with us and for us. They are not a canine to get because they look cool, or is rare, or is different. you should be highly experienced with raising dogs, behavior and training.  have your children be trained well around dogs in general. probably not something to have with young kids who will climb on it, pull it's hair, get in its face, grab it a good or toys away from it

Dont do it. Wolfdogs need highly skilled owners. Too much can go wrong.

You may check your state’s laws. Some have restrictions of owning wolf hybrids and some vets will refuse to treat them as wolf hybrids are considered wild animals. Unless you have the time, space, and energy to properly care for one...don’t get one just for it to be resold or turned over to a shelter where it’d be immediately put on euthanasia’s list.

Nah, don’t do it! Had one that was husky and prairie wolf. Holy rip your wall apart because it hears some bugs in Batman! Whoa! It was a disaster. There were constant issues. Definitely need to be a skilled handler to take one on.

Do not do it. I visited a sanctuary for wolf dogs because I wanted to own one also but I was informed that it ends up being too much work and you HAVE to have the time for them. My dad and i had a malamute/timberwolf, and it tried to attack me. let alone i was 3.i wouldn't suggest that breed. honestly, I wouldn't suggest any of them. they are unpredictable like the others said.

They’re highly unpredictable and not for people who don’t have experience with these types of breeds. 
I’ve worked with them and used to have one; they need a ton of exercise, continual training, and constant entertainment or they get bored, and when they get bored they get destructive. 
They’re very high energy and demanding with time; it makes them playful and fun but again, they can get destructive fast. 
High prey drive means they’re best being the only pet in the home, and preferably in a home with no kids or older kids only; they can be toy and food aggressive.

Umm.. so are you prepared enough for that? It’s not like getting a pug or another smaller, easier to care for, dog. They need a meticulous diet as well as decent land and diligent training. It’s not just some cool accessory to have, if that’s what anyone thinks. I’ve seen that happen way too many times :(

I owned a husky/wolf mix. He was the best dog I have ever had. He lived to be almost 18. But it's not something you just jump into right away. You have to really do your research and know exactly what you're getting into. You HAVE TO be the alpha. There is no questioning it. If you let that dog do whatever the hell it wants you will struggle so much more. So be the alpha 24-7. Get it from a puppy too. You'll then be able to train it the way you want it to be trained. But so your research.
