Pre labor contractions

Yesterday I started getting contractions while at work. I called the delivery and labor unit at Kaiser and was told to lie down on my side for an hour, drink 16 is of water, count my contractions (4 or more) and count how many times my baby moves (10 or more). I had 6 contractions in an hour and only felt my baby 4 times. I went in and they hooked me up to the monitors to make sure my baby was ok.

Turns out I am experiencing pre labor contractions. Though I’m dilated to 1, the test they ran on cervix said I have a 90% chance of not having the baby within the next two weeks. My uterus is just preparing itself for the delivery so lucky me got to come home and spend the rest of the day trying not to cry every time I got a contraction.
