trouble at work

I've been with my company 10 months now and have not once called in until recently. My manager (who has sick pay) came into the office sick with a respiratory infection. I got sick and then my 1 year old got sick. I don't have sick pay yet so I tried to weather the storm and go into work anyway. On day 4, I felt like death and my son was throwing up now so I called in. I had a day off the following day and asked if I could work it to makeup and was told no. When I come in today my manager tells me that our boss thought it was "suspicious" I called in before my day off and told my boss to "make sure she's really even sick". I'm so offended! I want to call her and tell her! I've never even called in before and it's like a slap in the face that I don't get the benefit of the doubt. But should I let it go? I just feel like I'm being bullied here.
