i have never done this....

I have never reached out to strangers before but I'm at a loss and really anything might help. I have been with my boyfriend for 7 years now and honestly we have the best relationship I know of. Communication is great, we like almost all the same things, sex is really good and I feel really close to him. But lately I have this fear that he is never going to propose to me. At the moment our financial situation is not what he feels comfortable with but he is always worried about money even when we are both doing well. We have talked alot about our wedding day itself and want all the same things so I just assumed he would eventually propose. It's hard for me I have made it very clear I want it and that I will not be the one to ask. And at the same time I feel like it's one of the special things he is supposed to do for me so I feel like having to give him time lines and pressure him takes some of that special away from it for me and honestly makes me not want it if I have to be the one doing everything (as usual by the way). And I'm fine with our balance in our relationship but I feel like since I do usually plan and take care of everything and everyone else the least he can do for me is give me the proposal I have always wanted. Nothing big by the way I just want him to say the words, I want to hear that I mean something to him. He is a man of few words but it's literally the one and only time I need him to do something without me knowing. I don't want an expensive ring I don't want a wedding and he knows all of this I have as easy as possible on him but honestly for the first time in our relationship I'm questioning everything. Should I just except that we might not be a marriage couple cuz like I said if I feel like I have pressured him into it it will never feel right in my heart and I will always question it.
