Why is glow congratulating me on my baby starting solids??

My baby is 4 m.o, I know solids can be started this early but I thought the norm was still 6 months?

My pedi said I could start at 4 months, so we started 🤷🏻‍♀️ every momma is different with how she chooses to raise her child. But some do start at 4 months, yes.

We started solids at 5 months, when she took a piece of steak off my plate I figured it was time, but when she watched my every move while eating I thought it was worth a shot.. it’s been a success so far. She loves to take the spoon and feed herself, and she has about 1/4 of a jar before bed and she sleeps a lot better. She has 4-5 ounces about 15-20 mins after the baby food of course (then knock outtttt) because it never should replace the breast milk, but it’s just a little extra snack before bed. She’ll be 6 months in a few days.

My son’s pediatrician said he was ready at 4 months (showing interest in food, sitting with propping, etc) so we started out slowly and eased into it. Obviously, we were only giving him little tastes at that point: food is “just for fun under one” and doesn’t replace breast milk/formula. Every child is different and she doesn’t recommend that for all 4 month olds, but it worked for him.
