Ways to reduce vaginal odor

Well my long time boyfriend and I are trying to conceive. We have sex quite often and during my fertile days he ejaculates inside of me. We have not been able to become pregnant, just yet. I have also been on depo prevera for about 7 years, but I have been off for about 2.5 years. Sometimes there is a smell, it’s not stinky or fishy, it’s just a weird smell during and after sex. I think it could be because of the semen messing with my ph levels. I have heard of many different things I could do. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I have also scheduled an appointment with my obgyn as well but I wanted to see if I could do anything for the time being.
