FTM here! I've been reading reviews on these 2 breast pumps but I'm curious what you guys think! if you could please comment and explain why you choose the pump you choose that'd be very helpful!! I honestly don't know diddley about breast pumps lol.

They both do have very good reviews, however I chose the medela pump in style advance. I like being able to plug it in or run on battery and most stores carry replacement parts for it. It has a ton of power- I haven't even gone up near half of the suction power it has and it works great for me. I love the bag and cooler it comes with- it's super handy for having to bring it back and forth to work. I recommend checking out the reviews on amazon to see more feedback.

I’ve heard awesome things about the spectra pumps, however my ins covered a Medela PISA with my daughter 4 years ago and i have no issues with it.

I got the Medela In Style Advanced through my insurance. I like that it's compact and the parts are widely available, but it doesn't do enough for me - I have preemie twins so I need to pump a lot more than the average mom. I ended up renting a hospital grade pump (Medela Symphony Plus) and it works much better!
